I recently installed a mobigater with the great help of this forum and its users. Its worked for over a week or so. However, I powered down and moved the box, now there is no soundcard installed. Would anyone beable to help me troubleshoot this?
aplay -l shows no sound card. I am really not sure where to look for this.

what gives you the command:

gmaruzz - yes it is the same
gmaruzz - yes it is the same box, everything is the same. This is acutually installed on an Alix board, and I was moving it to its final location and off my 'test bench' (aka basement floor).
The command returns nothing -- and a lsmod | more confirms no sound devices.

if the machine is the same, and if it no more senses the usb, and no load the sound modules, or the machine is broken or the mobigater is broken...
Try to shutdown the machine, power it off, wait 30 seconds, disconnect the USB cable, power the machine on, wait for boot and all, wait couple minutes, and reconnect the usb cable....

Ok, that was my fear. I removed the mobigater from its plastic housing and mounted it inside the aluminum housing of the Alix board. I questioned if I shorted out the mobigater at one point. This is probably the issue.
Its so hard to get a mobigater in the US. There are NO US distributers that I can find. So it takes weeks to get one. Are you aware of a US or Canadian reseller?
