Domanda:
volendo implementare piu canali gsm con una singola macchina, quale configurazione e' consigliata? Ovvero:
- scheda audio PCI con piu canali in/out
- piu schede audio PCI con un canale in/out
- scheda audio USB con piu canali in/out (esistono?)
- piu schede audio esterne USB
A intuito direi che il bus PCI e' piu performante dell'USB, anche perche' poi l'USB servirebbe per connettere i cellulari alla macchina per i comandi AT, oppure meglio una bella scheda multeseriale PCI?
E infine, che cellulare e' consigliato? Ovviamente economico e stabile..

which soundcard/cellphone for multichannel?

I tested with multichannel pci (maudio lt1010) and with multiple usb (based on cm108, the cheap chinese one, dongle form factor).
They both works, and I think you'll probably be better served by multiple usb (cheaper, easier to interface).
For the USB bus, please remember to use Multi-TT usb hubs, or you'll be unable to use more than 3 channels concurrently. Using Multi-TT hubs you have the entire 480mb/s available.
As cellphones, you can use any cellphone that supports the AT gsm commands.
As an example os cheap cellphones, you can find secondhand c350 or c650 motorola, and similar, under 20USD in europe.
